Privacy policy
This policy covers the independent apps listed on this site, unless an app’s own listing or in-app notice provides more specific information.
Summary
Joao Frasco’s apps are designed to be local-first. The apps covered by this site do not require you to create an account with Joao Frasco, and we do not sell personal information. Several apps are documented as collecting no personal data and keeping user-created content on the device.
Because the catalogue contains different kinds of apps, this page is a collection-level policy. If a particular app has different data practices, its app-specific notice and App Store listing take priority.
App-specific notes
Each app now has its own information page, with a privacy section that can be used as that app’s dedicated privacy URL. The following behaviours are documented for current app projects:
- Stats Noisy, SA Tax, and Walk Bingo: current notes describe no developer-collected personal data and on-device storage for core features.
- Calc Forex: requests anonymous public exchange-rate data; it does not send your name, email address, or app user identifier in those requests.
- Divide Bill: camera and photo access is optional and receipt processing is designed to happen on-device; receipt images are not uploaded to a Joao Frasco server.
Before assigning a privacy URL to an app, check that app’s current binary, privacy manifest, App Store privacy answers, and any in-app disclosure. The app-specific page is the right place to add more detail as each app is verified.
Information stored on your device
Depending on the app, your settings, saved work, game progress, scenarios, history, or widget data may be stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or Apple TV. This information is used to provide the app and is not sent to Joao Frasco’s servers. Deleting the app generally removes its local data.
Network services
Some apps may request public information over the internet. For example, CalcForex requests exchange-rate data from public rate services. These requests are intended to provide rates and do not include your name, email address, or a developer account identifier. The relevant app’s listing or in-app notice should be treated as the current description of its network behaviour.
Camera, photos, and sharing
Where an app offers camera or photo features, access is optional and used for the feature you choose. Divide Bill, for example, uses camera or photo access to read receipt text on the device; receipt images are not uploaded to a Joao Frasco server. When you use an Apple share sheet, you choose the destination. The receiving service’s privacy policy then applies.
Apple services and purchases
Apple may process App Store downloads, in-app purchases, refunds, notifications, and system services under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Joao Frasco does not receive your payment card details. Optional Apple on-device intelligence features are processed under Apple’s platform privacy model.
Children
The apps are not designed to collect personal information from children. If an app is intended for a particular age range, its App Store listing provides the current rating and details.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when an app’s features or data practices change. The date at the top of this page will change with a material update.
